Set Application Log Filename

Selecting

File | Application Log | Set Application Log Filename

from the menu allows you to change

the name of the application log file. When you rename this file, all future software events are saved to

this new application log file. All past software events are still saved in the old application log file.

Clear Current Application Log

Selecting

File | Application Log | Clear Current Application Log

from the menu presents a warning

dialog box asking if you are sure you wish to delete the contents of the current application log file.

Answer yes to delete all data that was saved to the current application log or select no to return to the

main display screen.

Manage Users

To add a user to the system, delete a user from the system, or to configure or change a user's software

rights, select

File | Manage Users

from the menu.

Set User Rights

To set or change the functions available to a particular user, first choose the user's name in the Manage

Users dialog box (below left) and then click on the

Set User Rights

button. A Set User Rights dialog

box (below right) with every function of the software is listed in a file tree format. Change the blue

✔into a red

or vice versa, by clicking them. Only commands with a blue ✔next to them are available

to the user.

Create/Edit User

To create a new user, choose an undefined user (such as

User

3 None

in the figure above left), and select the

Create/Edit

User

button. A dialog box opens where you must type in a

Fullname, Username and Password. Type in the password

again in the Confirm Password area. The

Copy User Rights

From User

box allows you to copy the command permissions

from another user instead of manually making each function

available or unavailable in the Set User Rights dialog box.

After creating a user, click

and set the software rights for

that user.

To change the password or name of a current user, click the

user's name in the Manage Users dialog box and select the

Create/Edit User

button. In the Create/Edit User dialog box, make any necessary changes and click
